Homework should be both a practice in reinforcing concepts already taught at school and in responsibility. Our students work hard all day and should not need more than thirty minutes, at the most, to complete homework. Homework is considered complete when it is placed by the student in the checking tray when they arrive in the morning. The following list is assigned homework. Your child may also bring home unfinished classroom work. All work is due back the next school day.
Monday Students will have Saxon math homework. Side B of each sheet is due back the next day. Reading books and folders will be sent home with that night's reading assignment. Folders and books are due back the next day with parent's signature. Second graders will have their spelling pre-tests Monday morning. They have a week to complete the week long lessons in their spelling books. The final spelling test will be Friday. First grade spelling books will be sent home. Please make a list of the words to keep at home and return the book to school tomorrow.
Tuesday Students will have Saxon math homework. Side B of each sheet is due back the next day.
Wednesday Students will have Saxon math homework. Side B of each sheet is due back the next day. Reading books and folders will be sent home with that night's reading assignment. Folders and books are due back the next day with parent's signature.
